What is non-emergency medical transportation?
Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) provides patients without access to transportation the means to reach their health care appointments. NEMT often helps low income, disabled, and elderly patients who typically do not have access to reliable transportation. NEMT helps manage patient health, helping them avoid more expensive forms of care, such as hospitalizations or institutionalization that are the result of missed appointments.
When should you choose NEMT services?
Although general transport such as public transportation or a family member’s car might work for many, others with mobility troubles or a limited network of support greatly benefit from dependable NEMT services. Because our providers are prompt, caring, and have the equipment necessary to help anyone in need (such as those who require wheelchair transportation), we help you get to appointments where and when you need assistance.
How much do your rides cost?
Depending on insurance, rides may cost you $0. We suggest you call your insurance and confirm to see if it covers non-emergency transportation coverage. If you do not have coverage, please call us for a quote today!
